Free Monday Concert featuring Hot House West

Excellence in the Community, Peery's Egyptian Theater, & R.A.M.P. are proud to bring you the Free Monday Concert Series. Hot House West, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the premier gypsy jazz band in the American West. With two guitars, upright bass, trumpet, trombone, and clarinet, Hot House West creates a rich tapestry of music, a unique and inventive sound, built upon the legacy of gypsy jazz. The band also draws inspiration from the timeless art of past jazz masters, creating music that is characterized by explosive guitar playing, the rich wail of horns, the sophistication of bebop, and a deep, propulsive swing. Often seen accompanied by dancers, Hot House West knows how to groove, pulling listeners to their feet and drawing them to the dance floor as each piece develops and unfolds. Influenced by the sound first championed by Django Reinhardt, the music of Hot House West is fresh, memorable, and captures the improvisational spirit of jazz.
